The Canson Fund for Art and Paper has created the "Canson Prize" which will be awarded each year to a young talent working with paper in a remarkable way.
Fabien Mérelle – a young artist who graduated in 2006 – uses watercolours and China ink to create works in a surreal style with minute details.
The Canson Prize 2011 will be awarded on 9 June at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris by a panel of judges headed by Gérard Garouste.
